057

"The paint on the walls was matted from years of cigarette smoke and pale regret. Glancing over her shoulder, she saw her future reflected in the glistening sweat on his back, and it scared her. As soon as she had finished her cigarette, she would defy the fates. She would walk out the door and leave forever. If she loved him at all, she loved him too much.
But then he smiled at her with half-open eyes, and she held back the tears and returned to bed. She thought to herself, if she was doomed anyway she might as well enjoy it."

I like this one. I think I like it because she seem so real. Her facial expression, the fag in her hand... She looks like she's living a real life, like the rest of us.

By the way, your Illustrator vampire is finished now, in case youre interested.

Hmm, is that blood from her nose and a black eye? Or just shadows?

I'll let that remain a mystery.
